Part 2: How to Join domain from other server to server Active Directory

Setup the second pc with window server 2008 completed

Open utility cmd.exe and ping ip from pc Active Directory, you input ping 192.168.11.133 (ip which you set ip in pc Active Directory)

Click to "Network and Sharing Center" link

Click to "View status" link

Click to button "Properties"

Double click to "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4)"

Set IP as follow 

Note: Important is Preferred DNS server (reference to ip of AD)

Back to desktop | right click to Computer | Properties

Click to "Change settings" link

Click to button change...

You see current member of is WORKGROUP

You must change Member of to domain from AD by choose radio button Domain and type "mstechsharing.com" domain then click OK

if right domain, automatically Dialog box appear then you input username and password

After login success, dialog box will appear as follows

Restart your PC

Click Close

After restart, you must login to PC by user domain and password domain

After login success, you will setup sql server and sharepoint with this account

Prepare 2 pc, 1 pc for AD, 1 pc for database and sharepoint

In the first PC, setup window server 2008 finish then set ip for this pc

Click Start | Run then type "dcpromo" to dropdownlist as follows

Wait progress checking

Click next

Click next

Choose radio button "Create a new domain ..." then click next

Input your domain

Choose Window Server 2008 in dropdownlist if your os is Window Server 2008 or more than then click next

Click Next

Dialog box appear and click "Yes, the computer will ..."

Click yes

Click next

Input password

Click Next

Waiting progress installation

Click Finish

Restart your pc
